PLAY · MOVEMENT · TIME TOGETHER
“Can we choose one more card?” That is the feeling we create our resources for.
We want time on the Sibbord to begin with curiosity. Will today’s adventure feature a Snake, a Flamingo or a Rainbow? Who will we become, what movement will we explore, and what story will we make up together? Our Children’s Yoga with Sibbord cards turn an introduction to exercise into a little adventure.
Meet the cards — and see the movements in action
We created these illustrated cards and practical video lessons to help parents, preschool educators and children’s fitness instructors bring more playful movement into their sessions. Each card offers a picture, a name and written guidance. The videos help you understand how to introduce the movement and what to pay attention to as a child tries it.
The printed cards in the photograph show the format of the resource. The English card files will be added here separately; the photographs show the original edition.
Why we love using cards with children
Picture a few illustrated cards, a Sibbord nearby, and a child already choosing a character. An adult has a simple image to build on. A child can see the idea and join the game. Instead of a long explanation, you share a little story: look, talk, then try it together.
Snake, Kangaroo, Flamingo, Rainbow, Hop and Jump — even the names invite imagination. The card sparks an idea; the adult chooses an appropriate movement and helps the child explore it.
Sibbord is so much more than a board to rock on
It still delights us how many ideas can grow around one curved wooden board. Change the starting position, the task, the story, the pace or the way an adult joins in, and the familiar Sibbord becomes something new.
Choose a few familiar cards and weave them into a story. Let the child lead and demonstrate a movement they have already learned. Alternate an active game with a quiet pause. At the next session, meet the same characters in a different order. You can create variety without searching for new equipment every time.
English video lessons: from a picture to a shared activity
We are sharing the practical lesson on yoga cards from our Children’s Fitness with Sibbord for Ages 3–10 course. In this English-language lesson, trainer Victoria Terekhina and her young assistant demonstrate how to approach the movements, explore variations and guide practice.
A picture alone cannot show every detail. The lesson helps you notice pace, exercise order, body position and common mistakes, so that each card becomes part of a thoughtful session. Watch the demonstration before trying a new movement together, and introduce changes gradually.

How to begin at home
- Get to know the resource. Take your time with the cards and video demonstrations before your first session.
- Choose a few suitable activities. Consider your child’s age, experience and how they feel that day. Show the movement yourself first.
- Make room for choice. Let your child choose a familiar card or name a character in your story.
- Leave time for a pause. Notice how the child is managing and finish while the activity is still enjoyable.
Practise with an adult nearby, on a non-slip surface with clear space around the board. A picture is a starting point, not a demand to copy a difficult position. Avoid adding jumps, closed eyes or other challenges without suitable preparation and guidance.
Thinking about leading a children’s group?
The cards can become a colourful part of a session at a studio, preschool or children’s centre. Shared characters bring a group together, while familiar images help children return to movements they have already explored. Behind the fun, though, there should be a considered plan: a clear purpose, a sensible sequence and an appropriate level of challenge.
We want you to see a whole world of possibilities in Sibbord. For one family, it starts with a game at home with a son or daughter. For an instructor, it might be the first step towards offering children’s fitness sessions and welcoming a first group.
